Branding and promoting the anti-fraud services of Datatank

A taxing task made easy
Datatank is the market-leading expert in helping councils to maximise income, whilst combating fraud. Their data verification, analysis and information tools have enabled authorities across the country to generate half a billion pounds. All from spotting and halting fraudulent claims for council tax discounts and exemptions.
A marketing material design project.
The nature of the Nottingham company’s work is complex. So when they asked The New Fat to produce marketing material we thought it through carefully. Producing three printed promotional leaflets for their different services.
The marketing materials design needed to sit together as a set, so it was important to get the branding and logo design right. We did this by aligning the services with Datatank’s existing blue/green visual identity.
Matching marketing design with branding.
Throughout this marketing material design project we drew from Datatank’s palette. Creating a harmonised group of square logos, using icons as visual metaphors for each service. These in turn inspired the distinctive graphic band across the front and back of each A4 leaflet.
Consistent marketing design.
The idea of a co-ordinated set of leaflets required a consistent layout across them. with coloured blocks and clean white space throughout the marketing design. Shared content is on the back of each design, providing information about Datatank and cross-selling of the services featured in the other leaflets. Our copywriter worked with the client to shape the messages they wanted to convey with a coherent tone of voice.
Marketing material results.
The overall result was clean, contemporary and on brand, whilst communicating a clear message. Most importantly, the leaflets show Datatank to be professional and consistent experts in their field.
